WYDE is an independent station, and "The Burt and Kurt Show" features live interviews and discussions about current political, legal, and cultural news. The discussion was about a new state finance plan intended to fix Alabama's education system.

Terry will be given the first half of the interview to lay out the main arguments of Our Schools and Our Future: are we still at risk? and to talk about teachers unions and their effect on education. The second part of the interview will be call-in. WJNT is a talk radio station and a member of the ABC, CBS, Radio America and Westwood One Radio Networks.
